  • Submit 1-7 pieces, up to 15 pages total, in a single document.
  • Poets are paid $20 per acceptance for poetry / poetic prose.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, single spaced.
  • Include your name and email address in the header of the document.
  • See Rascal Submissions for full guidelines.

  • An acceptance usually consists of 1-2 poems.
  • We acquire first serial electronic and anthology reprint rights.
  • Response time ranges from a few days to a month.
  • Poems should be so well-crafted you're breathless at the end of them.

  • We like form; we like wtf.
  • We like short; we like long: 2- and 3-page poems are not long.
  • We use the term "poetry" loosely; if it's "poetic" in any sense, try us.
  • This includes verse; prose poems; miniature fictions and essays.
  • It also includes monologues; diatribes; dying words; and letters.

  • We may ask you to revise and resubmit; if you're not open to this, say.
  • We will ask you to record a reading of the poem; no sweat if you can't.
  • We will pair your poem with a picture or visual art.
  • If you have an image to suggest, link it in your submission.
  • We'll reject just about everything; take it as invitation to persist.

  • Poems you should measure your work against to see if it's a good fit:
